Part of the Star Wars Anthology movies, the first one being Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Han Solo seems like it’s all set to go with Alden Ehrenreich as the title character.
Taking place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, Han Solo will document the life and times of Solo before fans knew him. Also included in this prequel are Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian.
In a recent interview promoting his new movie, Rules Don’t Apply, Ehrenreich said that he hasn’t yet met Harrison Ford, who originated the role of Han Solo, but “would love to” to get the chance to do so. Perhaps Ford could give the young actor some pointers on playing the character, or he could share some stories.
Although the elder and younger Han Solo actors haven’t gotten the chance to make each other’s acquaintance, Ehrenreich spoke highly of Glover, saying, “I think he’s going to be real good in playing the role”.
Ehrenreich said that there’s definitely lots to be excited about in regards to the movie.
“I think that the take that the directors – and everybody who is writing this movie – has is very exciting. I felt that since the beginning when I started auditioning. I remember feeling like, ‘Oh, they have a really cool outlook on this. They have a really great understanding of it.’”
