With filming getting underway soon, Harrison Ford teased what we can expect to see in the upcoming Indiana Jones film.

Lucasfilm has been trying to get an Indiana Jones 5 off the ground ever since the studio was acquired by Disney. Lucasfilm has put out several Star Wars films now, but nothing else from the other properties they own. Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg are keen on returning to the Indiana Jones franchise with filming expected to start in two months.

Indiana Jones 5 has undergone several changes with scripts written by Jonathan Kasdan, Dan Fogelman and David Koepp. Indiana Jones 5 will likely be a send off for Harrison Ford too and the actor teased what’s in store during an interview with IGN:

“Well, I’m not going to share the story with you because that doesn’t seem like a good idea. But we’ll see new developments in his life, his relationship. We’ll see part of his history resolved. It’s a very good script. I’m looking forward to it.”

The fifth Indiana Jones will be directed by Steven Spielberg and marks Lucasfilm’s first entry in the franchise while under the Disney umbrella. John Williams is attached to write the score after having previously lent his talent to the past four chapters of the film series.

Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones 5 is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on July 9, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on Lucasfilm’s upcoming projects!
