‘Harry Potter’ Franchise Returning To IMAX Theaters For One Week

Harry Potter fans rejoice! Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will arrive in theaters this November, but you’ll be able to return to the Wizarding World way before that as Warner Bros. and IMAX have officially announced that the entire Harry Potter series will be returning to theaters later this month.

The screenings will kick off on October 13 and include all eight films. The event will also mark the very first time that Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will be screened in IMAX (both movies will be digitally re-mastered into the format). You can find more details about the event, including theater listings and showtimes, by heading over to the official IMAX website.

Additionally, the first screening will feature a special sneak peek at Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, including never-before-seen footage from the upcoming movie and recorded greetings from Eddie Redmayne and many other stars.

CEO of IMAX Entertainment Greg Foster had this to say in a statement:

“Harry Potter is one of the most beloved film franchises of all time and is incredibly important to the history of IMAX. Therefore, being able to offer each installment—especially the initial two for the very first time in IMAX—makes this a truly magical event for fans.”
