The common belief among fans was that Avengers: Infinity War would begin filming sometime before the end of 2016, with a chance it could even begin filming this month. According to some new tweets from the Atlanta Filming Twitter account, the process has already begun, and actually started a little less than two weeks ago on the 7th of November.
Atlanta Filming has a history with capturing photos from the production of Marvel Cinematic Universe films. There are no specifics as to what scenes are being shot, or what actors are involved in the initial filming, but you can check out what Atlanta Filming had to say below:
“I think I forgot to post this, but #AvengersInfinityWar started filming two weeks ago. This is what I know: some cast is here. Part 1 started on the 7th. Almost 0% chance I will get photos that don’t look like lego people. Actually, I know a lot more than that. But, no spoilers. The set tile is grey though.”
One Twitter fan asserted that Atlanta Films could just be mistaking Avengers: Infinity War for re-shoots of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which are reportedly taking place at Pinewood Atlanta Studios. Pinewood is also where Spider-Man: Homecoming, Captain America: Civil War, and Ant-Man were all filmed. This is a bold claim from Atlanta Filming, but keep in mind it is far from official confirmation.
