An MCU star was blocked from posting on Instagram after sharing Hawkeye spoilers.

Spoilers ahead for Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye.

Hawkeye is clearly ramping up to be one of the most chaotic and grounded shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series aired its fourth episode earlier this week and brought with it a major bombshell. As Kate Bishop and Clint Barton are near Maya Lopez’s apartment, a masked assailant attacks Hawkeye. As the trio tussle, it’s revealed to the audience that the masked assailant is none other than Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, who first appeared as Natasha Romanoff’s surrogate sister in Black Widow.

At the end of the post-credits scene for the solo Scarlett Johansson film, Yelena is tasked with taking down Hawkeye, who she is told is responsible for the death of her sister. This is kinda true if you look at the world through an extremely black and white lens. Regardless, the trio dukes it out before the wordless Yelena escapes, leaving the Hawkeye team dumbfounded.

Florence Pugh was naturally excited to see herself return as Yelena and took to Instagram to share the reveal with her fans. Unfortunately, her account was reported numerous times, which left the star unable to post photos on her profile.

The Black Widow star commented on being blocked by taking to her Instagram stories and sharing a brief statement.

“I never thought me posting love about a show in which I appear on would get taken down..but here we are. Someone on here complained so I’ve been blocked from posting my own appearance on a show that I’m very much in. Beyond ridiculous. Being in #Hawkeye is a privilege and thank you to all who welcomed me on set and off and all who are watching.”

It’s hard to say who is right here considering Florence Pugh is in the show but the star did post about her reveal shortly after it premiered on Disney Plus. Regardless, having her blocked from posting photos is a bit too far, especially when she’s posting her own spoilers.

Here is the synopsis for Hawkeye:

Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Tony Dalton, Fra Free, Brian d’Arcy James, Aleks Paunovic, Piotr Adamczyk, Linda Cardellini, Simon Callow, Vera Farmiga and Alaqua Cox. Florence Pugh is expected to return in her Black Widow role.

The first four episodes of Hawkeye are now available to stream on Disney Plus, with new episodes dropping on Wednesdays. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the Jeremy Renner series and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
