Christopher McQuarrie has announced that Avengers: Endgame actress Hayley Atwell has joined the cast of Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7. 

McQuarrie took to his official Instagram, sharing the following photo of Hayley Atwell, asking her if she would “choose to accept” this new role alongside Tom Cruise in the seventh outing of the critically-acclaimed action series.

Hayley Atwell is best known for her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Agent Peggy Carter. The character first appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger and was the center of Steve Rogers’ affections. Hayley Atwell reprised her role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame. Hayley Atwell also starred in the television series Agent Carter on ABC and will lend her voice to Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ animated series What If…? where Agent Carter is imagined as Captain Britain.
