New HBO Max Teaser Spotlights Batman & More Classic Warner Bros. Titles

HBO Max released a new teaser that spotlights Batman Begins and more classic Warner Bros. titles.

Next month, WarnerMedia will officially launch the HBO Max streaming service and offer subscribers approximately 10,000 hours of content upon its debut. Now, HBO Max has released a new teaser for that spotlights some of the Warner Bros. film and television titles that will be available on the streaming service, including The Wizard of Oz, Game of Thrones, Gone with the Wind, Sesame Street, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Batman Begins, and many more.

In fact, Batman is one of the classic Warner Bros. characters to get a direct shout out during the HBO Max teaser. At one point during the preview, the narrator says, “There’s a place where the Witch of the West meets the King in the North. Where countless Oscars meet one Oscar. Where a Fresh Prince, meets a Dark Knight; or two.”

HBO Max officially launches in the U.S. on May 27, 2020, at a cost of $14.99 per month. As for Batman, Warner Bros. is set to reboot the Caped Crusader once again with a new film from director Matt Reeves. Full plot details on The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. Following the Caped Crusader during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector, The Batman will make use of the hero’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous live-action adaptations. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on October 1, 2021.
