A rare photo of Henry Cavill in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has resurfaced online.
The DC Extended Universe launched six years ago with Zack Snyder’s Superman film Man of Steel, which starred Henry Cavill as the eponymous DC hero. Since then, Henry Cavill’s version of Superman has earned a legion of fans who are hoping the actor will reprise his role for another standalone film after making joint appearances with other heroes in Batman v Superman and Justice League.
For now, fans will have to settle for a rare photo of Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman. In the image, Henry Cavill’s Superman can be seen standing on what appears to be the Kent farm lawn with his arms folded and a serious look on his face.

Henry Cavill’s future as Superman is currently in question, with Warner Bros. reportedly planning to put the character aside for the time being. Instead, Henry Cavill will soon trade in his Superman suit for the lead role in Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher. Based on the fantasy series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher will follow Henry Cavill as the monster slayer for hire named Geralt of Rivia.
