Henry Cavill Wears Brandon Routh’s Kingdom Come Superman Suit In New Fan Art

Henry Cavill Brandon Routh Superman Kingdom Come

New artwork imagines Justice League star Henry Cavill with Brandon Routh’s Superman suit from the next Arrowverse crossover event.

Prior to reprising his role as Superman for The CW’s adaptation of the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline, no one could’ve predicted that Brandon Routh would once again don the iconic cape and tights. At the moment, Justice League star Henry Cavill seems to be in the same situation Brandon Routh was in after Superman Returns. Recently, there have been rumors that Star Wars director J.J. Abrams is taking over the Superman franchise but none in regards to Henry Cavill’s involvement.

A new concept design shared on Instagram sees Henry Cavill return as Superman, wearing Brandon Routh’s Kingdom Come-inspired Superman suit. Henry Cavill’s Superman suits already have a resemblance to the Kingdom Come artwork by legendary comic book artist Alex Ross thanks to the darker background on his “S” symbol. It is also worth noting that Henry Cavil has mentioned Kingdom Come as one of his favorite Superman stories. You can check out the awesome fan art which imagines Henry Cavill back as the Last Son of Krypton with Brandon Routh’s Superman suit below!

But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
