Henry Cavill Comments On George Miller ‘Justice League’ Rumors

Justice League Part One

A couple of days ago, it was being hinted that Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller was possibly working as a producer on Zack Snyder’s Justice League that is getting ready to start production. As a reminder, Miller was supposed to direct the Justice League: Mortal film back in 2008 before the project was scrapped. This past weekend during the Academy Awards, MTV News was able to get a few minutes with the Man of Steel himself, Henry Cavill, on the red carpet to ask him about the upcoming adventures in the DC Extended Universe.

During the interview, MTV News asked Cavill if Miller was in fact involved at all as a producer on the upcoming DC film starring the legendary titans of DC Comics, to which Cavill answered with the following response.

“I have heard nothing so far.”

Whether he actually doesn’t know or is just playing coy before an official announcement is made when the film starts rolling with the official cast and crew, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Miller is in fact involved due to his relationship with Warner Bros.

Cavill was also asked if he could give any hints or share his thoughts about getting ready for Justice League.

“Absolutely! We’re talking about Justice League here! It’s the DC Cinematic Universe finally getting its chance to really grow in this one and I think all the characters are fantastic.”

You can check out the full interview below where he also talks a little about the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters on March 25, with Justice League: Part 1 coming on November 17, 2017.

It would be beyond wonderful if Zack Snyder is replaced by Geroge Miller for Justice League. The entire DCEU narrative would change if Snyder was replaced. When the rumor of Miller being a producer was raised I thought “Maybe this is a way to ease Miller into the directing chair if BvS goes down” Like a safety net for WB if BvS gets shredded by fans and critics.

Ive figured out that people just relentlessly hate Zack Snyder. Man of Steel was amazing, but so many people just hate him. So much so that they criticize things about the movie that he had no hand in and theyd otherwise love if they had their facts straight lol
The usual rhetoric is Snyder is good visually but the script and character development were horrible, blah, blah, blah When the truth is that the screenplay and story were written by David Goyer and Christopher Nolan with ZERO writing credits going to Snyder lol
I missed the boat, why all the hate?

I’m not sure why Snyder inspires so much hate. I liked MOS, I thought Watchmen (the director’s cut) is a 3/5. I think his best movie is 300. But people hate him and so do critics. That’s my main reason for wanting him off Justice League and any other DC movie. He just brings bad buzz. There’s a cloud of negativity attached with Snyder by critics and fanboys/girls. He also doesn’t have the Box Office cache that someone like Michael Bay has. He needs to go for political reasons IMO. We shall see how BvS fares with critics and fans but from all the trailers and discussion it seems like a very vocal segment of movie fans are foaming at the mouth to take this movie down. Why idk but you can’t deny it’s there. He needs to step down for the sake of the perception of the DCEU
