While it’s highly unlikely that we’re going to see a scene between the Man of Steel and the King of Atlantis in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it sounds like Henry Cavill can’t wait to start filming the first Justice League movie in just a few weeks for a number of reasons, including interacting with Jason Momoa’s Aquaman.
While being interviewed at the premiere of Batman v Superman in New York last night, Cavill talked about how excited he is for Justice League, plus even more DC Extended Universe movies down the line. He also touched on sharing the screen with Aquaman in the movie:
“I’m looking forward to expanding on the DC Cinematic Universe, and finally getting a chance to open up that world. There’s a thousand and one rich stories in there. I’m looking very, very forward to interacting with Aquaman, especially!”
Meanwhile, the folks over at Comicbook.com had a chance to speak with Geoff Johns at the premiere and asked him how he feels about finally seeing Aquaman on the big screen, since the character has a brief cameo in the movie:
“It’s massive. Jason [Momoa] and I were talking about Aquaman and I love that people underestimate the character. I feel like hopefully we’ll be able to share the love that we have as readers of the character because the jokes about him are fun, but he’s got so much depth to him, no pun intended. It’s really great to see him finally on the big screen.”
