The Witcher star Henry Cavill shared a new behind-the-scenes look at Geralt of Rivia as production on season 1 wraps.
Production on Netflix’s adaption of The Witcher has officially wrapped after approximately seven months and series lead Henry Cavill shared a new behind-the-scenes photo of Geralt on his official Instagram account to mark the occasion. Henry Cavill also included a message to the cast and crew of The Witcher in which he expressed his gratitude for their work helping to bring Geralt of Rivia’s story the screen:
The cast and crew worked tirelessly throughout, everyone pitched in and brought their A game to set and I couldn’t be more proud of you all.
Speaking of my immediate team. Jacqui, Ailbhe and Leah are consummate professionals who worked extraordinary hours to bring the Witcher to life, they were non stop improving adjusting and evolving Geralt throughout. Thank you ladies for making this journey a good one. All of those 3 am wake ups were worth it!

Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Aretuza, and Millie Brady as Princess Renfri, with Mimi Ndiweni and Therica Wilson-Read as novice sorcerers. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will also serve as an executive producer on the series while Alik Sakharov, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Charlotte Brändström are on board as directors for the eight-episode first season.
The Witcher will be available on Netflix in late 2019.
