Henry Cavill Confirms No Appearance In ‘Suicide Squad’, But Might In ‘Wonder Woman’

The DC Extended Universe is truly coming to life this year with the upcoming DC films, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in a few weeks and Suicide Squad this fall. As the cast members of Batman v Superman have been doing their promotional work a lot lately and in a recent interview with Superinteressante, a Brazilian magazine, with Henry Cavill, he was asked where else we might see the Man of Steel pop up aside from this film and the Justice League films.

The magazine asked if Cavill’s Superman might show up in Suicide Squad, starring several baddies of the DC Universe as the famous Task Force X, to which he simply said.

“Not in ‘Suicide Squad.”

However, when asked about what the chances are that he will make some sort of appearance in Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman film, he gave an interesting answer.

“In ‘Wonder Woman,’ I haven’t heard anything yet, but watch that space. And in anything else, I don’t know just yet if anything else gets shot between.”

Since yesterday, we know now that Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman (at least stuff that are set in the present of that film) will in fact take place after the events of Batman v Superman.

“Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes out March 25, Suicide Squad will be released on August 5 and Wonder Woman is set for a June 23, 2017 release date.
