‘Justice League’ Star Henry Cavill Dons Superman Beyond Suit In Cool Fan Art

A new concept design transforms Justice League star Henry Cavill into Superman Beyond.

The Batman Beyond timeline is one of the most interesting takes on the DC Comics universe, which includes an older Superman. Batman Beyond was apart of the Bruce Timm universe that began with Batman: The Animated Series and ended with Justice League Unlimited.  With its futuristic timeline Batman Beyond became immensely popular, so much so that Superman Beyond was created to show the character’s relevance in the future. While there has been a major want for a live-action Batman Beyond film for years, not much attention is paid to Superman Beyond, which could be a perfect vehicle for Justice League star Henry Cavill.

An Instagram Artist “jscomicart” revealed a new fan art edit that imagines Justice League star Henry Cavill swapping his classic Superman suit for the sleek Superman Beyond costume. Make sure you swipe right on the post below to get a closer look at Cavill’s updated Superman logo and cool gray hair.

In the fan edit, Henry Cavill’s Superman Beyond is imagined existing in the Metropolis of the future which is ripe with neon lights and gargantuan skyscrapers. Currently, there are no publicly-released plans for Justice League star Henry Cavill to reprise his role as Superman in the DC Extended Universe. However, Cavill could absolutely take on the role of Superman Beyond, creating a unique futuristic and unique take on the character. Should that prove to be a success, Warner Bros. and DC can finally move forward with the long-awaited Batman Beyond film.

Henry Cavill was last seen as Superman in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, the film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
