So what do you think? Are you still hoping to see Henry Cavill return to the role of Superman in the future? Let us know in the comments below.
The future of Henry Cavill’s Superman is still in question. Last year, Henry Cavill walked away from talks to reprise his role as Superman for a cameo in the Shazam! movie. Although Shazam! still managed to feature a cameo from his version of Superman, the film was not able to show Superman’s head in the frame of his shots as Henry Cavill still has yet to work out a deal with Warner Bros. and DC Films. Rumors have also suggested Warner Bros. is shelving Superman projects for the time being in favor of focusing on Supergirl in the DCEU. 22 Jump Street writer Oren Uziel was previously revealed to be writing the script for the standalone Supergirl film which will feature an origin story for Superman’s cousin Kara Zor El.
Henry Cavill can be as Superman in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League. After The Witcher, Henry Cavill will be seen in Enola Holmes with Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown.
Based on the fantasy series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski, Netflix’s The Witcher will follow the monster slayer for hire named Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill). Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will also serve as an executive producer on the series while Alik Sakharov, Alex Garcia Lopez and Charlotte Brändström are on board as directors for the eight-episode first season.
Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Aretuza, and Millie Brady as Princess Renfri, with Mimi Ndiweni and Therica Wilson-Read as novice sorcerers.
The Witcher will be available on Netflix in late 2019.
