Netflix announced the development of an anime spin-off film to Henry Cavill’s The Witcher titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.

Over a month before Henry Cavill’s The Witcher debuted on Netflix, the streaming service had already renewed the series for a second season. Now, Netflix is set to expand The Witcher universe with an anime film that “explores a powerful new threat facing the Continent.”

The anime film will come from acclaimed Korean animation studio Studio Mir, best known for The Legend of Korra and Netflix’s Voltron: Legendary Defender. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who serves as the showrunner of the Henry Cavill’s The Witcher, and producer Beau DeMayo are also behind the anime film.

Here is the official synopsis for Henry Cavill’s The Witcher:

Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.

The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Aretuza, and Millie Brady as Princess Renfri, with Mimi Ndiweni and Therica Wilson-Read as novice sorcerers.

The Witcher is now available on Netflix.
