Henry Cavill celebrated The Witcher receiving a second season from Netflix with a brand new look at his character Geralt of Rivia.

With the recent news that Henry Cavill’s The Witcher is getting a second season from Netflix, the star celebrated by posting a brand new look at Geralt of Rivia. The renewal comes shortly after the news that the showrunner behind The Witcher, Lauren S. Hissrich, has seven seasons mapped out for Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia. She believes that it would’ve been foolish to put all their energies into the first season without considering where else Henry Cavill’s The Witcher could go.

And with the news that a second season is already on the way, Henry Cavill took to Instagram to celebrate the renewal. The actor posted a picture of Geralt in The Witcher, saying it’s his favourite shot of the first season. Fans still have over a month to wait before Henry Cavill’s The Witcher arrives on Netflix, but the news that a second season is already in the works should hopefully ramp up the anticipation for the fantasy show.
