Justice League star Henry Cavill becomes Superman’s evil doppelganger Ultraman in this image.

Six years ago, Henry Cavill made his first appearance as Superman in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel and since then fans have created several photos imagining the actor in various outfits worn by the DC Comics hero in previous media. Digital artist House of Man has unveiled a piece depicting Henry Cavill as Ultraman, the evil counterpart to the Man of Steel.

In the comics, Ultraman is the name used by several evil Superman doppelgangers from various alternate universes. For the purposes of this fan art, the artist transformed Henry Cavill’s Superman into the Ultraman of the Crime Syndicate universe and used the same costume the character wore in the animated film Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.

Unfortunately, Henry Cavill’s future as Superman is currently in question, with Warner Bros. reportedly planning to put the character aside for the time being. Instead, Henry Cavill will soon trade in his Superman suit for the lead role in Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher. Based on the fantasy series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher will follow Henry Cavill as the monster slayer for hire named Geralt of Rivia. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will also serve as an executive producer on the series while Alik Sakharov, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Charlotte Brändström are on board as directors for the eight-episode first season.

Henry Cavill’s most recent appearance as Superman was in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
