Henry Cavill is, of course, referring to the headquarters of the School of the Wolf. In The Witcher series, Kaer Morhen is an old castle that is the home to several members of the school, of which Geralt is a part of. From an early age, children are taken to places like Kaer Morhen where they are subjected to rigorous training before completing the “Trial of Grasses” which only three in ten survive. Those who succeed become witchers. The rest die in agony.

What do you all make of the upcoming series? Are you looking forward to seeing Henry Cavill as the stoic monster slayer? Should the series have stayed as a book series or a video game series? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Here is the reported plot synopsis for the upcoming show:

The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.

The upcoming series is based on the fantasy novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will also serve as an executive producer on the series while Alik Sakharov, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Charlotte Brändström are on board as directors for the eight-episode first season.

The Witcher will be available on Netflix at an undetermined time.
