Zack Snyder has shared a never-before-seen photo from a deleted Justice League scene involving Henry Cavill’s Superman.
There’s no doubt that Warner Bros. shut out Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut in favor of a more committee-driven film that felt more palatable to general audiences. Despite being a critical and commercial failure, Zack Snyder has hope that one day his cut of Justice League will see the light of day. Thanks to much fan and industry support, Zack Snyder has upped the ante on his output of cut footage from his version of Justice League. His latest revelation on the social media platform Vero is a cut scene with Henry Cavill’s Superman.
In Justice League, Henry Cavill’s Superman serves as the crux of the film, despite not appearing in most of it. After the events of Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which left Henry Cavill’s Superman dead, the Justice League is assembled to stop the villainous Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons. In this brand new image from the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, The Flash (played by Ezra Miller) can be seen alongside Superman’s casket in Scout Ship 0344. Unfortunately, there isn’t much context as to why The Flash is moving Superman casket throughout the ship because, well, this is from Zack Snyder’s scrapped Justice League cut. In the background, you’ll notice that Henry Cavill’s Superman suit is casually floating in the air, sensing Kal-El’s presence. The mystery of Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League continues as the director continues to post images and footage from his version of the film, including content featuring Henry Cavill’s Superman. There’s certainly a lot of we don’t know about Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League, but it all seems to lead back to Henry Cavill’s Superman transcending and becoming more powerful than ever, something that was merely teased in the theatrical cut of the film.
