The final trailer for Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins starring Henry Golding has been released.

One of the most interesting movies coming out this summer is Henry Golding’s Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, which serves as a reboot for the G.I. Joe franchise and an origin story for the iconic ninja. The two G.I. Joe films released earlier this decade received middling reviews from critics though they fared well at the box office. Snake Eyes, instead, solely focuses on the early days of the silent ninja and how he eventually joins the American military unit.

With the film set to hit theatres this Friday, Paramount has released a brand new trailer for Snake Eyes. The trailer boasts incredible action sequences, including one that sees Henry Golding’s G.I. Joe character hanging from a moving vehicle that’s going down a speedy highway. The trailer also briefly touches upon the ninja’s childhood and hinted at Storm Shadow’s eventual defection to Cobra.

Here’s the synopsis for the G.I. Joe film:

“Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.”

Directed by Robert Schwentke from a script written by Evan Spiliotopoulos, the film stars Henry Golding as the titular character, Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Steven Allerick as Ninja Commando and Haruka Abe as Akiko.
