Excitement for Marvel’s Black Panther is nearing fever pitch. The film doesn’t hit theaters in a little over a month, but the film is already surpassing Captain America: Civil War in early pre-sales on Fandango. Plus, with Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg set to produce the film’s soundtrack, it seems that everybody is hyped for the film. One of those who is most hyped about it is Chadwick Boseman’s Avengers: Infinity War co-star Tom Holland.
Holland appeared in a panel at ACE Comic Con alongside his Spider-Man: Homecoming co-stars Jacob Batalon (Ned) and Laura Harrier (Liz) when the moderator asked the trio about their excitement for Black Panther. Unsurprisingly, Holland, Batalon and Harrier were all thrilled to see what director Ryan Coogler has brought to the table.
The moderator would then bring up the Kendrick Lamar-produced soundtrack, to which Holland revealed that he knew of that collaboration before it was officially announced – yet another secret he had to keep tight-lipped:
“Oh that’s been released? They know that? I knew that ages ago, and I’ve been trying so hard to keep that a secret. I’m so glad you guys know!”
Thankfully, the announcement was made before Holland could accidentally reveal the news.
Holland continued to express his excitement for Black Panther and praised Boseman, having worked with him on Avengers: Infinity War:
“The movie looks amazing. I’ve been working with Chadwick over the last year now, and he’s the nicest guy. He’s so humble, and I’m very jealous of his costume. He walks on set and the suit – and it’s so cool…”
Holland and Boseman were both introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War. Both were seen together during the film’s airport fight scene where they fought alongside Team Iron Man.
