A new promo for House of the Dragon‘s fifth episode confirms will feature Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke due to the latest time jump.
This week’s House of the Dragon was the last for Milly Alcock and Emily Carey, who have been playing younger versions of Rhaenyra and Alicent. In episode six, viewers will finally get to see Emma D’Arcy step into the role as an older Rhaenyra and Olivia Cooke as Alicent with five more episodes to go in the Game of Thrones prequel’s first season.
Tensions Rise in King’s Landing
The other prominent cast members in House of the Dragon will remain the same with the time jump, but the series will also put more of a focus on the children of Alicent and Viserys. Following last night’s new episode, HBO released a preview of the next episode, which continues to tease the eventual Targaryen civil war, Viserys’ declining health, new dragons, and more. You can check out the new House of the Dragon trailer below.
Here is the synopsis for the Game of Thrones spin-off series:
Based on George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood, the series will tell the story of House Targaryen (a.k.a. the House that gave us the Mother of Dragons herself, Daenerys Targaryen) and take place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan J. Condal serve as co-showrunners on House of the Dragon and are executive producing alongside George R. R. Martin. The series features a star-studded cast that includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Paddy Considine, Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, and Sonoya Mizuno.
