Former Hulk Edward Norton commented on the possibility of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Incredible Hulk made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Edward Norton as the Green Goliath’s alter-ego, Bruce Banner. Of course, the role of The Hulk was eventually recast, with Mark Ruffalo taking over from Edward Norton for all subsequent Marvel Studios films.
During an interview with Total Film Magazine, Edward Norton reflected on his sole outing The Incredible Hulk and outlined his original two-part plan for the film series. When the former Hulk actor was asked if he would ever return to the Marvel franchise, Edward Norton noted that he might be interested in playing an MCU villain:
“Maybe as a baddie? Maybe I’ll write my own. I don’t know, I’m open to everything. I mean, I did Ask the StoryBots on Netflix.”
Would you like to see Edward Norton return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a villain? Is there a particular role you think the former Hulk actor could play?
Since Marvel Studios replaced Edward Norton, The Incredible Hulk has appeared in five Marvel Studios films and his most recent outing was in Avengers: Endgame.
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
Avengers: Endgame is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
