‘The Suicide Squad’ Star Idris Elba Offers Coronavirus Update

The Suicide Squad and Thor star Idris Elba shared an update on how he is dealing with his recent coronavirus diagnosis.

On Monday, news broke that Idris Elba tested positive for the coronavirus. Unfortunately, Idris Elba joins other notable celebrities like Tom Hanks, Kevin Durant, and Kristofer Hivju along with thousands around-the-world who are suffering from the pandemic. Those who have the coronavirus are being told by doctors go into a self-quarantine to avoid spreading it to other people.

Idris Elba offered an update on how his recovery from the coronavirus is going live from his self-quarantine via Twitter. In the video, Idris Elba thanked fans for their support. The Suicide Squad star also revealed that he has been playing video games, learning how to play guitar, cooking, and more during his time in self-quarantine. The first Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. However, James Gunn is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the Suicide Squad in his upcoming movie.
