Iman Vellani has been cast as Ms. Marvel for the upcoming Disney Plus series.
Marvel Studios and Disney Plus have officially found their Kamal Khan. According to Deadline, Ms. Marvel will be played by newcomer Iman Vellani. Marvel intended on staying true to the character and find the right actress for the role, even if it meant casting an unknown. Vellani will headline her own series as well as appear in upcoming Marvel Studios movies.
It was recently announced that Bad Boys for Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will be among those directing the series. In addition, Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will also helm at least one episode of the series as will The Walking Dead, Titans, and The Punisher director Meera Menon.
