‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Theatrical Run Ends As Fourth Highest Domestic Film

Mantis Avengers Infinity War Guardians of the Galaxy

There was a movie that came out earlier this year called Avengers: Infinity War. You may have heard about it. Okay, joking aside, the second of the two Marvel Studios films to come out in 2018 made a huge landing at the box office, both domestically and internationally, but our focus today is on the film’s domestic run.

By now, Avengers: Infinity War is available on home release, both digitally and physically, but like Black Panther recently, as well as other films, it’s not uncommon for a film to still play in a few theaters when you can watch it from the comfort of your own home. Either way, the recent Avengers film is wrapping up to become the fourth highest grossing film at the domestic box office.

With a grand, actual retail price of $678 million, Avengers: Infinity War finishes behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936 million), Avatar ($760 million), and fellow Marvel Studios flick Black Panther ($700 million). And the fourth Avengers film will hit theaters next May. Whether that ends up coming close to or surpassing what Infinity War has made remains to be seen and, of course, depends on what else comes out that weekend and subsequent weekends.

How many times did you see Avengers: Infinity War in the theater? And what do you make of its box office total? Let us know in the comments below.

In the meantime, again, you can enjoy Avengers: Infinity War from the comfort of your own home, as it’s now available on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
