After the big news yesterday that Injustice: Gods Among Us will be getting a sequel game known as Injustice 2, the people behind the game released an announcement trailer this morning giving us the first glimpses of the upcoming game, revealing the arrival of one of their big new DC Comics characters.
In a press release, Ed Boon, who is the creative director of NetherRealm Studios, said the following about the sequel game:
“In Injustice 2, we are introducing new features that will change the way fans play fighting games. We’re always interested in pushing the genre forward and allowing players to customize and level-up their favorite DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains is a significant leap.”
It has also been released that along with Supergirl, we will be seeing the debut of the DC villains Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd and rest assure that we’ll be hearing more characters be announced.
They also mentioned that as a way to celebrate the Injustice 2 announcement, for anyone who has downloaded Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile game, will be able to unlock the Injustice 2 versions of both Superman and Aquaman through the in-game Challenge Modes.
Injustice 2 will be available to both he PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system as well as Xbox One in 2017. More information should arrive next week at the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
