Insomniac Games Responds To Raimi ‘Spider-Man’ Suit Requests

Spider-Man Marvel PS4

Earlier in the year, video game developer Insomniac Games released the now critically and commercially successful Spider-Man video game exclusively for the PlayStation 4 console. Upon the game’s release, fans were pleased to see dozens of beloved Spider-Man suits that players could equip while in-game. However, ever since the release of the game, players have been clambering for the suit featured in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man film trilogy to be a playable suit in the game. Many fans thought that the suit would come later on down the road as downloadable content, but that does not seem to be the case.

A fan took to Twitter to ask Insomniac Games if the Sam Raimi suit would be in the game at some point by simply tweeting them a photo of the suit. The developers soon replied, stating “Listening doesn’t mean we always will do what people tell us to. We hear you. Hearing doesn’t mean we always act or follow.”

You can read the full exchange on Twitter below:

It appears that for now, Insomniac Games does not have any immediate plans to put this highly requested suit in the game. They did not say it would never be in the game, but as for now, fans should lower their expectations.

Similarly, upon the game’s release, many people were wondering whether or not Insomniac Games would implement the infamous “black suit” in the game, as shown in the 2007 film Spider-Man 3, which is not in the game. The only film tie-in suit present in the PlayStation 4 Spider-Man is the “Stark Suit”, which was worn by Tom Holland in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War and 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Spider-Man is now available on the PlayStation 4.
