Finn Jones who plays Danny Rand aka Iron Fist in the upcoming Iron Fist series has revealed he will be the one who helps The Defenders see the bigger picture when they put their resources together to take on a mysterious threat this summer.
In a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight while promoting Iron Fist, Jones explained the threat the team faces in The Defenders is one he’s been dealing with throughout his entire life, including the first season of Iron Fist and that he will be the one who helps them see things for what they really are:
“Danny understands the bigger threat, because he’s been dealing it all throughout his life and all throughout season one of Iron Fist. So, when he meets The Defenders, he’s the one who really drives the group to understand the bigger picture.”
In addition to Jones, The Defenders also stars Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, and Mike Colter as Luke Cage.
An official synopsis for The Defenders has yet to be released but the series follow the heroes for hire also as they put their resources together to take on the mysterious businesswoman named Alexandra, played by Sigourney Weaver.
The Defenders will arrive on Netflix sometime in the summer of 2017 but first up is Iron Fist which stars Finn Jones as Danny Rand, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum, David Wenham as Harold Meachum and Carrie-Ann Moss reprising her role as Jeri Hogarth.
