When Iron Fist debuted on Netflix, the Marvel series was met with generally negative reviews and one of the many reasons fans were disappointed in the show was due to the absence of the titular hero’s classic costume. While fans of the series are hopeful that a second season of the series will improve on the first, the question of whether or not Danny Rand will don his superhero outfit remains unresolved. During a panel Comicpalooza 2017, series star Finn Jones commented on the possibility of seeing the classic costume in season two and even offered some suggestions on the outfits design.
Jones stated that he believes Danny Rand will wear his classic costume in the second season of Iron Fist.
“I hope so. I really hope so. I think moving forward to season two, we’ll see something like that.”
Jones also shared his hope for what type of mask Iron Fist will wear when he finally dons his superhero outfit.
“Personally, I really hope we get the wispy kind of ripples that come out at the back of the mask. I think that’s a super cool effect. I think it’d be really annoying, actually, the logistics of it but I think it would look really cool.”

Lingering Questions Leading Up To ‘The Defenders’
With the release of the first season of Iron Fist, all four Defenders have made their streaming debut to set up this summer’s mashup miniseries The Defenders. Each season has built on the last, building an intricate mythology with a living, breathing New York City to house it. The Hand has been introduced as a sort of evil S.H.I.E.L.D. to link Marvel’s Netflix dramas, building to the four uniting against them. Their separate investigations will bring them together in – what else – a hallway fight.
The culmination of the first phase of the Marvel/Netflix partnership has a lot of ‘splaining to do. What’s the Hand’s true objective? How will our four heroes interact together and how will the supporting casts of their shows intersect here? And perhaps most importantly, who is the Big Bad played by Sigourney Weaver?
