‘Iron First’ Season 2 Targeting Production Start Date In December

Iron Fist Defenders
Despite negative reviews and little fan enthusiasm, Netflix renewed Iron Fist for a second season with new showrunner Raven Metzner replacing Scott Buck as the shows creative leader. Now, actor Sacha Dhawan, who portrayed Davos on the first season, told  Screen Geek that he believes the second season will begin production at the end of this year.

Though Davos’ return has not been confirmed, Dhawan revealed that he believes production on the next season is scheduled to begin in December:

“It’s definitely not been confirmed whether or not I’ll be in it, but they’re hopefully starting in December. You know with things always changing, Marvel are pretty good adapting to any kind of situation.”

Until then, fans can see Danny Rand return when The Defenders arrives on Netflix next month.

“Marvel’s The Defenders” follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.

Marvel’s The Defenders stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, Deborah Ann Woll, Simone Missick, Elden Henson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Rachel Taylor, Rosario Dawson, Scott Glenn, Jessica Henwick, Elodie Yung and Sigourney Weaver.

Marvel’s The Defenders is set to debut on Netflix on August 18, 2017.

10 Lingering Questions Leading Up To ‘The Defenders’

Netflix Marvel Defenders
With the release of the first season of Iron Fist, all four Defenders have made their streaming debut to set up this summer’s mashup miniseries The Defenders. Each season has built on the last, building an intricate mythology with a living, breathing New York City to house it. The Hand has been introduced as a sort of evil S.H.I.E.L.D. to link Marvel’s Netflix dramas, building to the four uniting against them. Their separate investigations will bring them together in – what else – a hallway fight.

The culmination of the first phase of the Marvel/Netflix partnership has a lot of ‘splaining to do. What’s the Hand’s true objective? How will our four heroes interact together and how will the supporting casts of their shows intersect here? And perhaps most importantly, who is the Big Bad played by Sigourney Weaver?

We’ll talk about all that and more in the article ahead. Click Next to start!
