‘Iron Man 3’ Star Ty Simpkins Returning For ‘Avengers 4’

Ty Simpkins Iron Man 3 Avengers 4Iron Man 3 is not the most-beloved entry within the Marvel Cinematic Universe for many fans. Whether it was the fact that it was the immediate follow-up to Marvel’s cultural juggernaut of The Avengers or of course, the revelation of the film’s true antagonist, fans were split on Shane Black’s take on Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.). However, one of the universally-admired aspects of the film was the relationship between Tony and a young boy named Harley Keener (Ty Simpkins).

For a child actor, Simpkins was able to hold his own alongside an acting giant like Downey. In all the scenes they share together, Simpkins brought a certain childlike excitement that one would naturally have if they were working as a sidekick to one of the world’s most popular superheroes.

Simpkins has since starred in films such as Insidious: Chapter 2, Jurassic World and The Nice Guys. He continues to expand his craft as an actor at his young age.

According to IMDb, Simpkins will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Harley Keener in the untitled fourth Avengers film. Hopefully, this signifies that we will him and Tony onscreen together again – even with several years removed from the last time they saw each other.

Also, because Tony has grown to have a bit of a father complex in regards to his new recruit Peter Parker (Tom Holland), the potential of seeing him reunite with Harley is exciting.

Previous1 of 8

MCU Improve Marvel Studios has changed the way that superhero films are being structured and looked upon. They have created a series of incredibly successful films under their umbrella and moved into television with several great shows (especially over on Netflix), making them a force to be reckoned with. However, Marvel has kind of become a little too comfortable when it comes to things like taking risks.

While Marvel’s films still get great reviews and are really entertaining for the most part, they also feel like safe bets. The Marvel Cinematic Universe films don’t really feel separate and there are things the studio can do to improve upon their already-winning formula. There are many things they can reach for and it’s a great time to look at these things as we move towards the release of Thor: Ragnarok, as well as next year’s Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp.
