Production for The Matrix 4 with Keanu Reeves is heating up as Iron Man 3 cinematographer and two-time Oscar winner, John Toll is in talks to shoot the upcoming film.
Earlier this week it was officially announced that The Matrix 4 would be happening with Keanu Reeves and Carry Ann Moss returning to the franchise. Matrix co-creator Lana Wachowski is currently set to return to the franchise as director. But from the look of things, she is also bringing in one of her new crew members with her.
According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, Iron Man 3 cinematographer John toll is currently in talks to shoot the upcoming Keanu Reeves film. The Iron Man 3 cinematographer has worked with the Wachowskis several times over the decade. He is credited as the cinematographer for 2012 film, Cloud Atlas and also shot all 24 episodes of their Netflix series, Sense8. In addition, the Iron Man 3 cameraman also managed a rare feat by winning two cinematography Oscars back to back for his work on the 1994 film, Legends of the Fall and the 1995 war epic, Braveheart.
The original film, The Matrix was, of course, one of the biggest hits of the late 1990s and turned Keanu Reeves into a huge star. While the final two installments were met with significantly less critical praise the franchise managed to make well over $1.6B at the worldwide box office. Now it seems that Warner Bros. and the Wachowskis are set to bring back Keanu Reeves to their universe one last time and are bringing along the Iron Man 3 cinematographer to boot.
