J.J. Abrams Talks About Life Post ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

Director J.J. Abrams did it. He made a Star Wars film. The longtime Star Wars fan brought us Star Wars: The Force Awakens after lots of hard work. I think the movie is amazing on every level, and he was massively praised for the fantastic work that he did on bringing The Force Awakens to the big screen. The Star Wars fan successfully reunited Star Wars fans with the greatest saga ever told, in theaters everywhere. J.J. achieved absolute greatness.

When speaking with Fortune, J.J. talked about stepping away from directing Star Wars, saying:

“It was a wonderful way to visit a place that meant so much to me and obviously so many.”

Adding:

“I knew that if it worked, it was the perfect time to step down – and if it didn’t, no one would want me to do it anyway.”

Talking about his future involvement in Star Wars, now that he is no longer directing it, J.J. said:

“I’m very happy to be where I am.”

Continuing:

“Rian Johnson is brilliant and needs no help from me. As executive producer, I’ve been collaborating with them, but they are obviously doing all of the heavy lifting and it’s very exciting to see what’s going on.”

He’s a super talented filmmaker and a creative genius. J.J, Abrams is someone you want to be involved with your project, because he just really knows how to make things work. He has built a career of pushing boundaries and a consistently awesome drive.

I’m so happy that it was J.J. who was given the keys to bring Star Wars back to the big screen. For me, Star Wars: The Force Awakens was phenomenal in every way. The job he did brought so many people, so much happiness, all over.

The Force is strong with J.J. Abrams.
