James Gunn recently revealed a signed cast and crew poster of The Suicide Squad featuring some of the iconic weapons from the upcoming film.
With the recent news that James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad has wrapped production, the director shared the first poster for the film which was specifically designed for the cast and crew that worked on it. Although the plot for The Suicide Squad is being kept under wraps for now, fans are eager to see James Gunn’s take on the team of anti-heroes and what they’re called into action for in the sequel. The bloody new artwork teases some of the action fans can expect in The Suicide Squad.
James Gunn shared The Suicide Squad signed poster on Instagram, saying that he has no idea which each signature belongs to aside from Margot Robbie’s and his own. But the artwork features a huge heap of rifles, pistols, bullets and grenades sitting in an ominous pool of blood. Also thrown in the pile is Harley Quinn’s mallet and boomerangs belonging to Captain Boomerang himself. Take a look at poster from James Gunn below.

This artist @sloboart does a poster for our great AD Pez at the end of every shoot he does, and then me and some of the cast on hand sign personal notes to the various ADs (who on this film were fantastic – no one on a crew works harder under more pressure than they do). It’s not an official poster but I think the artist did a great job. Don’t ask me whose signature is whose. The first Suicide Squad film followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. While the film was a box-office success, it was savaged by critics and currently holds a 27% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. James Gunn’s upcoming film is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the Suicide Squad but the director has not specified what connections it will have to the first film beyond returning cast members.
