Although the last few days have been filled with comments from Dave Bautista discussing Drax‘s future in Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3, James Gunn recently added to the excitement by confirming that the soundtrack for the third film has already been chosen ahead of production. The third film will arrive after Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder, where the heroes are also set to make an appearance.

Director James Gunn was discussing a variety of topics across his upcoming Marvel and DC projects when he was asked about the soundtrack for Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3. He briefly revealed that although production kicks off at the end of 2021, the soundtrack has already been finished. Since Star-Lord was given a Zune at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2, it’ll be interesting to see which songs make it into the film this time around.
