When James Gunn got into contact with an Instagram user pretending to be Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, he did what any sensible employee would do – mess with the impostor’s head by tossing hilarious misinformation at him.
The Instagram user got into a personal conversation with Gunn, presumably for the purpose of trying to get Marvel spoilers out of the director of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. For better or worse, “Feige” got what he wanted from Gunn, alright:
Gunn saw through the act immediately, but decided to play along for his own amusement. Which is awesome. I don’t know about you, but I’m stoked to see a Yautja pop up in Black Panther – Twentieth Century Fox seem to be getting pretty lenient with sharing their movie rights with Marvel these days!
Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 is playing in theaters right now.
