James Gunn revealed how many comics he read to prepare for The Suicide Squad.
Warner Bros. and DC are moving forward with a new take on the Suicide Squad from writer and director James Gunn. While most expected the filmmaker to turn to the source material in preparation for the film, Gunn has now revealed just how many comics he read as part of his research.
In a post on his official Twitter account, Gunn responded to a question on the matter by revealing that he read every single comic featuring each incarnation of the Suicide Squad. Furthermore, Gunn read roughly 85% of the comics Harley Quinn appeared in up until production on the DC film began.
