Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn recalled the hilarious time he introduced Spider-Man star Tom Holland to Stan Lee for the first time.
In 2015, Tom Holland signed on to became the third actor to play Spider-Man on the big screen with his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain America: Civil War. Spider-Man creator Stan Lee has said in the past that Holland is the Peter Parker he envisioned years ago and it’s hard to argue based on the young actor’s appearance.
Unfortunately, Stan Lee passed away two years ago. During an Instagram Q&A on Saturday, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn shared details about the time introduced Spider-Man star Tom Holland to the legendary Marvel creator for the first time:
“I introduced Stan to Tom Holland just after Tom was hired to play Spider-Man. Stan says to him, ‘Yes of course! I hear you’re great! Personally, I don’t see it!’ And we all died laughing.”
