The first behind-the-scenes photo from James Wan’s Mortal Kombat reboot has been revealed.

A behind-the-scenes shot from James Wan’s Mortal Kombat has surfaced online thanks to the screenwriter of the film, Greg Russo. While stars of the film like Lewis Tan have been preparing for a while to bring the legendary contest to the screen, they’ve finally begun filming Mortal Kombat. While there’s no official look at any of the characters just yet, we should get one within the next few months.

Mortal Kombat screenwriter Greg Russo posted the behind-the-scenes photo from the James Wan-produced film on Twitter, accompanied by a short but sweet quote: “May the Elder Gods watch over us!” The film’s official logo is on the board too, although out of focus it’s easy to make out the iconic dragon symbol that will undoubtedly be all over the Mortal Kombat marketing. Take a look at the first photo from James Wan’s Mortal Kombat below.
