Jane Levy Is Down To Play The DC Extended Universe’s Batgirl

Actress Jane Levy recently expressed on social media that she would be up for playing the role of Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in the DC Extended Universe.

Whether it’s Katelyn Nacon, Lindsey Morgan, or now Jane Levy, it seems like almost everyone under the sun is either rumored to or fans want them to play the part of Barbara Gordon, a.k.a. Batgirl, in the DC Extended Universe.

With the rumor that Birds of Prey may begin casting soon, some fans are already speculating who they would like to see in the roles of Batgirl, Huntress, Black Canary, and so on within the Birds of Prey gang. So what does this have to do with Jane Levy?

Again, it was recently reported that Birds of Prey may start casting, and in response to the desire and pitch of Jane Levy as Batgirl, Levy herself responded on her Twitter, albeit with merely a “Cool – I’m down” response. Admittedly, not much to go off of there and it’s not uncommon nowadays for actors to want to jump into the superhero business, but as is often the case, it gets the speculation flowing. You can see Levy’s tweet below:

It ultimately remains to be seen who will be cast in Birds of Prey, who will be involved with the casting, and how those roles and actors picked will be involved not just in a Birds of Prey, but with the rest of the DC Extended Universe. Batgirl may not even be in the movie.

But hey, with San Diego Comic-Con around the corner, maybe we’ll get some updates from the DC Films panel. Who would you like to see cast in the role of Batgirl? Does Jane Levy fit the bill or do you have someone else in mind? Let us know in the comments section below and stay tuned for more updates on Birds of Prey.
