Jared Leto Wants To Be In Ben Affleck’s Batman Movie

Suicide Squad will finally arrive in theaters next week, but Jared Leto is already thinking about when he’ll get to play the Clown Prince of Crime again. The actor recently expressed his desire to return to the role of the Joker in the near future and it sounds like he’s willing to continue playing the character for a long, long time.

In an interview with Toronto Sun, Leto talked about how Suicide Squad is only an introduction to the Joker and why he loves playing him so much:

“I hope it’s an introduction (of the Joker) … and not the end! Because I could easily just play the Joker a couple more times and then retire. Because it’s so fulfilling and so creative and it’s so imaginative. It’s really difficult to think about doing anything else!”

In fact, he already knows which movie he wants to be in and it’s exactly the one you’re thinking about right now: Ben Affleck’s Batman movie.

“I think it would be incredible to see Batman and the Joker go head-to-head! This Batman and this Joker. I mean, I don’t know, that might be too much! But that would be fun.”

Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne, Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
