A new behind-the-scenes photo from David Ayer’s Suicide Squad puts the spotlight on Jared Leto’s Joker.

While Joaquin Phoenix recently won the Best Actor Oscar for playing The Joker, a new shot of Jared Leto’s Clown Prince of Crime from Suicide Squad has surfaced online, showing the unhinged villain in a scene from towards the end of the David Ayer movie. While some fans are still divided about Jared Leto’s Joker in Suicide Squad, it’s clear that there was a lot of cut footage of the actor’s performance and regardless of the opinion about his take on the character it would be interesting to see more of him.

The new behind-the-scenes-photo of Jared Leto’s Joker in Suicide Squad comes from towards the end of the film where he attempts to rescue Harley Quinn from Amanda Waller’s Task Force X using a heavily armed gunship. The photo shows Jared Leto hanging upside-down on the gunship set, holding onto the harness inside. It’s not completely clear why he’s hanging like that aside from trying to show how unhinged his character was, but it’s a fun behind-the-scenes look at the actor. You can check out the photo below.
