Jared Leto Can See Morbius Crossing Over With Mahershala Ali’s Blade

Battle of Marvel's Oscar winners?

Jared Leto Mahershala Ali Blade Morbius

Jared Leto recently shared that he thinks a Marvel crossover with his Morbius and Mahershala Ali’s Blade is possible.

Venom and Morbius were believed to be separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that all changed when Michael Keaton’s Vulture showed up in the Jared Leto film’s first trailer. As Marvel Studios explores the multiverse, it seems Spider-Man and the Sony characters will co-exist in some capacity. Now that anything is possible, there’s a possibility that the Living Vampire could cross paths with Mahershala Ali’s Blade at some point.

During a recent appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Jared Leto was asked about whether Morbius could crossover with Mahershala Ali’s Blade in the future. Here’s what Leto had to say:

“That is a good question, and I could see that happening in the future. I could see that happening, yeah.”

Here is the official synopsis for Morbius:

One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed and transforms this healer into a hunter.

Directed Daniel Espinosa from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, the film stars Jared Leto as the lead anti-hero, Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, and Tyrese Gibson. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing the project with Lucas Foster, while Palak Patel will oversee for Sony.

Morbius is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on January 21, 2022. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Jared Leto’s Morbius, Mahershala Ali’s Blade, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
