Jason Momoa got a pleasant surprise on his 38th birthday on the set of Aquaman – his wife Lisa Bonet and their kids flew in to visit while he continues work on the 2018 superhero blockbuster.
Bonet and her family live in the United States, but Aquaman is filming in Queensland, Australia. Since Bonet knew that Momoa was too busy with work to come home to celebrate, she brought the party to him – not only with her children, but with his squad of friends:

Momoa is said to be a family man at heart and a good friend, something that comes through in this picture. His comments on Instagram suggest continued support for his Hawaiian heritage, which he has noted he would like to honor with his portrayal as Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe. Perhaps Momoa’s popularity will raise the visibility of Polynesian actors in Hollywood.
Aquaman will make a splash on December 21, 2018. Its cast includes Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry (Aquaman), Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Patrick Wilson as Prince Orm Marius (Ocean Master), and Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna.
