Aquaman star Jason Momoa was recently hacked and like the great guy he is, he apologized to his 13 million Instagram followers for the incident.
A few day ago, Jason Momoa’s Instagram account was hacked and displayed some scam giveaways to his followers for iPhones, a Macbook Pro, an Apple Watch, PlayStation Store gift cards and strangely a Tesla Model X. Now it appears, the Aquaman actor has seemingly taken care of the situation and gotten control of his account back.
Jason Momoa got on his Instagram story and apologized to all 13.3 million people who follow him on the social media app. This is what the Aquaman star had to say in his apology:
“I officially got hacked and I really don’t know what the fuck that means except for someone trying to sell iPhones and Teslas and God knows what else on my IG account. To all the friends and family who had weird messages come to them, obviously it’s not me and I apologize for any confusion.”
Let us hope that’s this doesn’t happen to the Aquaman actor again. Although, it wouldn’t be surprising if the hackers try to gain back access to his account or even worse other celebrities’ accounts to do the same.
Last month, Aquaman star Jason Momoa visited Hawaii to protest the construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) on top of the Mauna Kea volcano. The area in which TMT is proposed to be constructed is sacred to Native Hawaiian culture and religion. Jason Momoa was joined by many other Hawaiians protesting the construction of the TMT. His Justice League co-star Ezra Miller was also there.
An Aquaman sequel is currently in development at Warner Brothers, with Jason Momoa returning as Arthur Curry. Scheduled to be released in theaters on December 16, 2022, Aquaman 2 is being written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, one of the writers behind Jason Momoa’s first cinematic solo outing as the DC Comics icon. James Wan is expected to return to the director’s chair after he completes a horror project for New Line Cinema.
For now, Jason Momoa can be seen as Arthur Curry in the first Aquaman movie. Here’s the official synopsis:
From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.
Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.
Aquaman is available on Digital HD, 4K UHD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD. Stay tuned for the latest news on Jason Momoa, Aquaman and the future of the DC Extended Universe!
