New behind-the-scenes photos from Jason Momoa’s Aquaman offer fans a look at Patrick Wilson wearing King Orm’s gold armor.
Warner Bros. and DC’s Aquaman centered on the conflict between Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry and Patrick Wilson’s King Orm. While Jason Momoa’s Aquaman was reluctant to take his place as the King of Atlantis, the threat Patrick Wilson’s King Orm posed to the surface world left the DC Comics hero with no choice but to face his half-brother.
During the film, King Orm wears a gold ceremonial suit and now Ironhead Studio has unveiled new behind-the-scenes shots of Patrick Wilson in the outfit for Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. Ironhead Studio notes that Patrick Wilson’s gold ceremonial suit was designed by Kym Barret and that they were tasked with building the armor elements.

Here's a few behind the scenes fitting shots of Patrick Wilson in the Orm ceremonial suit. It was an honor working with costume Designer Kym Barret and Director James Wan on the Aquaman film. All the credit goes to Kym for this badass design. Our job was to help bring it to life by building the armor elements. #orm #oceanmaster #patrickwilson #aquaman #blackmanta #villian #aquamanmovie #jameswan #kymbarrett #jasonmamoa #nicolekidman #amberheard #spfx #art #sculpture #armor #gold #costume #costumedesign #comics #dceu #dcfilms #dccomics #justiceleague #warnerbros #wb #ironheadstudio
Aquaman concluded with Patrick Wilson’s surrendering to Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and being imprisoned for his crimes, leaving the door open for his return in sequels. However, there has been no official word on whether or not Patrick Wilson’s Orm will reunite with Jason Momoa for the yet-to-be titled Aquaman 2.
Aquaman grossed $1.147 billion at the worldwide box office, a figure that makes it highest-grossing DC Comics movie of all time. A sequel is currently in the works at Warner Brothers, with Jason Momoa and Amber Heard both expected to return. Scheduled to be released in theaters on December 16, 2022, Aquaman 2 is being written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who worked on the first movie. James Wan is expected to return to the director’s chair after he completes a horror project for New Line Cinema.
For now, Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson can be seen in James Wan’s Aquaman. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:
