Jason Momoa Shares First Photo From Set Of Justice League; Petitions Oil Pipelines

imageWith Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice out of the way, we can now focus on more important things. The Justice League. Comic Book fandoms greatest team has a film coming out in 2017 and if you didn’t know it, you must have been living under a rock. The untitled Justice League movie is currently ramping up filming. While we haven’t received an official press release or photo, it seems like production is just now beginning.

We have received the first sort of set photo coming from Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa. Momoa took to Instagram to support a cause Aquaman would be proud of. Momoa wants to stop Oil Pipelines from being made in our seas.

I support the #NativeYouth of #StandingRockRez. I signed the petition to stop the #DakotaAccess Pipeline, your turn click on the link in my bio. Please take a second to check out what’s happening. Mahalo EZRA @panterasarah and shai. For spreading the awareness ALOHA j.

While the set photo doesn’t show much it gives us a look at Momoa’s scaly Aquaman tattoos. You can check out the Instagram post below.

What do you guys think of the photo?  It looks like, despite Snyder and WB’s rumored friction, Justice League is pushing on. Until next time, guys and hopefully we have an official photo and a press release for you. Sound off your thoughts in the comments section below.

Justice League is currently being directed by Zack Snyder and will star Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon. Willem Dafoe is also joining the cast in an undisclosed role. Justice League hits theater November 17th, 2017!

Oh god this movie is actually happening, With absolutely no buzz or fan fare. Even if you LOVED BvS you can’t ignore the huge backlash and audience indifference. Zack Snyder’s Justice League is going to be The Amazing Spider 3 Sony was smart enough not to make. It’s going to be Schumacher’s 3rd Batman movie.

WB is going to look like damn fools when the Pixar movie comes out and Justice League opens at 2 during the Holiday weekend.

If you loved BVS, it’s amazing the things that you can ignore.

      • razorstar90

So the horrible reviews, record second week breaking drops, the fact that Deadpool out grossed a movie featuring Batman Superman and Wonder Woman in 3D in the US. The fact that BvS can’t out gross a solo non 3D Batman movie that came out 5 years ago.

None of that concerns you? My friend that is called DENIAL. But like what like, love what you love. There are people out there that wanted The Amazing Spider Man series to continue. Same with Schumacher’s Batman and that horrible Green Lantern movie. TO each his own

          you should re-read his comment…

cut him some slack, go eat some… Do you bash everyone who disagrees with you? I feel sorry for your girl.

Comment of the day. Thank you sir

Due to the positive buzz Suicide Squad is generating plus the fantastic reaction that WW got in BvS the anticipation for her solo feature is also tracking well. When it gets closer it should do very well considering it is the first solo female SH movie of this new era and the first really well known female character to get one.

If these movies are received well I feel that (WB/DC) will be well positioned to move forward.

“Rumored friction”. Rumored by the likes of Devon Faraci?

You can do better, H.H. A lot better.

It’s been backed up by Batman on Film so far as well.

      • OnePunchMan

Sorry, but Faraci has been attached to quite a few stories that have been proven to be wrong and many have just been outright lies. He puts the blame on his sources though so we can’t blame him.

        • Axxell

Yet this one has been corroborated by Batman-on-Film…regardless of what you think of Faraci’s previous stories, BoF is a reputable source.

          • OnePunchMan

Never had the pleasure of visiting the site. What other stories have they broken?

          • Axxell

I don’t visit their site a lot, but from what I’ve heard a lot of Batman fans say it’s trustworthy. The site’s been running since ’98.

  • Steve Steve

That sucks. I can’t, in good conscience, see the movie now.

  • UnBoxingJon

I was just thinking this movie needed to be a little more divisive. Sequel to a controversial film? Check. Heavily rumored studio drama? Check. Let’s throw in a political message and attach it to an ethnic hashtag.

    • OnePunchMan

      #RacistMuch

      • UnBoxingJon

There was nothing racist about mentioning that race has been a divisive issue about comic book movies.

        • OnePunchMan

It was just surprising to me that you latched on to it right away when I didn’t even bat an eye at it. It’s almost like you are trying to create a problem where there isn’t one. Just sayin’.

          • UnBoxingJon

You said “It’s almost like [I am] trying to create a problem where there isn’t one,” but you’re the one who cried racist.

          • OnePunchMan

Sorry bro, you brought up the race card not me. I was astonished that you posted. that because I didn’t even notice it when I read the article. I figured it was just an actor using his status to create interest in a cause that he cared about. No big deal, happens all the time. Your comment struck me as someone stirring the pot unnecessarily. I don’t think I was over stepping by calling you out on it. Race is a touchy subject for many people and shouldn’t be brought up lightly.

  • H.I McDunnough

Maybe they’ll look at the criticism of BvS (too dark, bad cgi, humorless, Esienberg as Lex, etc ) and do better with Justice League. I’m trying hard to be positive.
