A new poster for Kevin Smith’s upcoming stoner comedy Jay and Silent Bob Reboot gets a new poster that’s evocative of Marvel’s posters for Avengers: Endgame.
While Kevin Smith is more commonly known today for his work in writing and directing stories based on comic book characters and/or talking about them, back in the day, his entrance into the public consciousness was with his independent movie buddy comedy Clerks, being the latter half of the Jay and Silent Bob duo shared with Jason Mewes. Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes have had recurring roles in his “View Askewniverse”, named after Kevin Smith’s production company, and now they’re back in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot with a poster inspired by Avengers: Endgame.
Knowing Kevin Smith, it’s likely that Avengers: Endgame won’t be the only movie that gets homaged or spoofed. Check out the Avengers: Endgame-styled poster below:

Set in a world where Jay and Silent Bob’s comic book characters, Bluntman and Chronic, are getting a new movie made against the consent of their creators, the duo have to journey across the United States to put a stop to an ill-advised reboot. In the poster above, you can see that Jason Mewes’ Jay is carrying the oversized fist of one of Bluntman and Chronic’s most infamous enemies, while Kevin Smith’s Silent Bob just looks onward silently.
Here is the official synopsis for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot:
The stoner icons who first hit the screen 25 years ago in Clerks are back! When Jay and Silent Bob discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them, the clueless duo embark on another cross-country mission to stop it all over again!
Written, directed by, and starring Kevin Smith, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot also stars Jason Mewes, Shannon Elizabeth, Jason Lee, Ben Affleck, Harley Quinn Smith, and many more.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot will be released in theaters this October.
